Paediatric First Aid
PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID 12 HOUR COURSE (LEVEL 2)
COST: £90 per person (minimum number 10)
LENGTH: 12 hours. This can be run on two consecutive days, or one day per week. The course can also be run over four evenings or Saturday mornings.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All those who are currently working in a childcare environment, including childminding and nursery schools. The course has been created to comply with the guidelines set out by Northern Ireland Childminding Association (NICMA), and is a mandatory requirement in the Early Years Apprenticeship Framework.

CPR on baby and child

Correct management of the unconscious child

Head and Spinal injuries.

Burns and Scalds

Shock: including Anaphylaxis

Wounds and Bleeding

Fractures, sprains and strains

Recording of incidents and injuries.

Dealing with common childhood ailments

Pyrexia and Febrile convulsions

Chronic illness: Asthma, Diabetes

Seizures
All those who attend will receive a First Aid book and a Level 2 certificate valid for three years.
