DEALING WITH CHILDHOOD ILLNESSES.
Cost of Course: £30 per person (minimum 8 people)
Includes booklet and meningitis awareness card.
Length of Course: 2 hours
This course can be run in the comfort of your own home, or at your toddler or play group.
Course Content
- Dealing with the pyrexic child (high temperature)
- Recognising and dealing with infectious disease (chickenpox,mumps, measles)
- Dealing with Asthmatic attacks
- Croup
- Febrile convulsions
- Recognising the signs and symptoms of meningitis.
Despite our best endeavours children are going to fall ill. This class is aimed at teaching the parent
or carer how to nurse the sick child and recognise symptoms of illness. It aims to give
confidence to parents and carers.
The course is set in a non-threatening environment, with course material being easily understood
and non intimidating.
Your course leader is a qualified paediatric nurse with experience in teaching first aid.
