FIRST AID AT WORK REQUALIFIER
This course is designed in accordance with guidelines set out by Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: The First Aid at Work Requalifier is for those persons currently nominated as the First Aider in the workplace, and are in possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate that is still valid.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate. Proof of the First Aid at Work Certificate must be brought to the course and be valid throughout the training. A candidate may attend a refresher course up to three months before the expiry date of the First Aid at Work certificate
Course Content

Duties of the first aider
- CPR and management of the unconscious casualty
- Choking
- Good Hygiene practise
- Bleeding and wounds
- Burns and Scalds
- Soft tissue injury; sprains and strains
- Head and facial injury
On the final day of the course the candidate will be examined by external assessors on both the theory and practical aspects of the course.
Candidates will receive a First Aid at Work Manual and a First Aid certificate approved by HSE NI which is valid for three years.
