This course is designed for band 2 healthcare workers who wish to upskill to band 3. This intensive one day course will cover both venepuncture and clinical observations, covering all six parameters and also including NEWS 2, peak flow, urinalysis and using an inhaler. Candidates will have the opportunity to practice and develop these practical clilnical skills through hands-on training and simulations.

Fire safety training is an essential component of workplace safety. This course will equip employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, prepare for, and respond to fires in the workplace. Candidates will have an opportunity to work a fire extinguisher.
Pressure Ulcer Management covers a wide range of topics, including the causes and risks of pressure ulcers, identification, and assessment of pressure ulcers and strategies for preventing pressure ulcers.
Infection Prevention and Control: upon completion of the course the candidate will have an appreciation of the role they play in contributing to infection control and prevention, and be able to implement good practice in the workplace.
