PRACTICAL TRAINING - FIT AND WELL
Candidates attending this course must be fit and well to participate in the practical element of CPR and Recovery Position. This includes the ablility to work at floor level. Continuous course assessment includes candidate demonstration of CPR.
PRACTICAL TRAINING - CLOTHING
Please ensure you wear suitable, comfortable clothing and flat shoes.
Course content:
- UK Resuscitation guidelines (2015)
- Scene Safety and activating chain of survival
- Correct technique in Adult CPR
- Correct technique in Paediatric CPR
- Correct application and use of Defibrillator
- Recovery position
- Dealing with Choking in Adults and Babies
- Introduction to Automated External Defibrillation
- Basic principles on how to safely use an AED.
- Practical on use of AED.
